The annual conference of the Pacific Early Childhood Education Research Association (PECERA) was held in Shanghai from 10 – 12 July, organised by Shanghai Normal University, co-organised by The Education University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Under the theme of this annual conference, “Early Childhood Education in a New Era: Globalising and Localising Curriculum and Pedagogy”, it promises to be a landmark occasion, bringing together a global assembly of early childhood education scholars, practitioners, and policymakers.
The Department of Early Childhood Education (ECE Department) sent a delegation of 16 presenters and participants. Prof Philip Li Hui, Chair Professor of the ECE Department, served as one of the Co-chairs of the conference. Additionally, Prof Eva Lau Yi-hung, Acting Head of the ECE Department, and Dr Yang Weipeng, attended the event as symposium speakers.
The ECE Department is committed to continue its engagement with the global early childhood education community and looks forward to implementing innovative strategies.
