2025-08-08

ECE students have received three awards, including Gold, Silver and Merit, at the ‘12th Hong Kong Outstanding Prospective Teachers Award’ as their teaching abilities and passion for education impressed the judges.

The awards were co-organised by the Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association and Hong Kong Prospective Teachers Association to provide opportunities for prospective teachers to learn from their peers and seniors, pursue excellence, and gain unanimous praise from the education sector.

BEd (ECE) year 5 student Ms Chan Yee Lam Queenie was the Gold Award winner in the kindergarten category. “During the microteaching, I have received support and encouragement from kindergarten principals, which has enhanced my self-affirmation and confidence in becoming an excellent teacher,” said Queenie.

Ms Sung Ka Yan is a HD (ECE) year 2 student, who won the Silver Award. “The activity includes lesson plan preparation and microteaching. It helps me to review the knowledge I learnt and apply teaching skills. It's a valuable experience and strengthens my determination to become a kindergarten teacher,” said Ka Yan.

Another BEd (ECE) year 5 student, Ms Tsoi Ka Man Cindy, won the Merit Award. “I am honored to receive this recognition. I will continue to uphold kindness and courage, guiding students to grow with strength and compassion,” said Cindy.

We sincerely congratulate the awardees for their outstanding success, and will continually put all our great effort towards our mission: helping our graduates become lifelong learners who are able to educate and nurture young children.
