In the Research Grants Council’s recently announced 2026/27 results for the General Research Fund (GRF) and Early Career Scheme (ECS), the Department of Early Childhood Education (ECE) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) proudly celebrates four faculty members who have been awarded GRF funding. The recipients are Prof Alfredo Bautista, Prof Kevin Chung Kien-hoa, Dr Li Yixun, and Dr Annie Hu Xinyun.
In addition, across the University, EdUHK secured a total of 46 grants, comprising 35 GRF projects and 11 ECS projects. Within the Faculty of Education and Human Development, 20 applications were successfully funded (18 GRF and 2 ECS), of which the ECE Department accounted for four.
Research success is a collective achievement. The department extends its heartfelt congratulations to the four awarded faculty members and looks forward to their continued breakthroughs in their respective fields, bringing outstanding research outcomes to both academia and society.
Looking ahead, the department will continue to support teachers in their pursuit of research innovation, advancing early childhood education studies to new heights, and contributing actively to the development of early childhood education in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland.
