The Department of Early Childhood Education at EdUHK organises the public lecture series titled "Professional Growth in Early Childhood Education." The series will feature different industry experts, who will share and elaborate on various topics related to early childhood education. The content of these lectures is interesting and practical, and it can also facilitate early childhood educators, students, parents, and individuals who are looking for further education to learn about techniques and practical skills that can aid in the growth and learning of young children.
Through these lectures, participants can learn more about the latest trends and best practices in the field, exchange views, build relationships and networks with other practitioners, as well as ultimately improve their skills and knowledge to provide better learning experiences for the children in their care and facilitate the overall development of the industry.
The ECE department will hold the fourth session on 16 May 2026, The lecture, titled as "Kindergarten Crisis Management in Practice: From Prevention to Response”, will feature Ms Wong On Mei, Principal of Dominic Savio Kindergarten & Nursery (Olympic Branch), Vice Chairman of the Yau Tsim Mong District Principals Association, and District Affairs Advisor of Hoi Wang Community Service Association. Together, we will discuss various strategies, from prevention to response to common crises or conflicts in kindergartens, so as to be prepared for any eventuality, remain calm in the face of danger, and protect the safety of staff, students and the school.
