Work motivation serves as a crucial internal resource for teachers engaged in inclusive education. Drawing on classical motivation theories and employing longitudinal mixed methods, Dr Xie’s seminar examines the different types of motivation among inclusive education teachers and their significant impact on teaching practices, professional development, and organizational well-being. By revealing the dynamic nature of teacher motivation and the mechanisms through which it is shaped by both personal and environmental factors, the seminar emphasizes that building a more resilient and supportive educational ecosystem acts as a key lever for fostering teacher motivation and improving the quality of inclusive education.
