The Department of Social Sciences and Policy Studies (SSPS) warmly welcomed more than 140 freshmen from six undergraduate programmes at the departmental orientation, which was held on 24 August 2026 at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK).

To enrich students' exposure to Intangible Cultural Heritage and local community, Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Sociology and Community Studies and Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Primary Humanities) Programme and Postgraduate Diploma of Education (Primary) Primary Humanities organized a visit to Tai O on 15 August 2026.
SSPS BA(PF) Summer Programme 2026 – Connect Personal Finance to Daily Life

The SSPS BA(PF) Summer Programme 2026, titled “The Finance Lab: Real-World Skills for Tomorrow’s Financial Professionals”, was successfully organized by the Department of Social Sciences and Policy Studies from 3 to 5 July 2026. This 3-day programme welcomed 33 S4 – S6 local secondary school students interested in business, accounting, finance and related study pathways. Through experiential activities, institutional exposure and sharing sessions, participants connected personal finance concepts with everyday decision-making, experienced university life, as well as developed a better understanding of possible study and career pathways.
