Joseph is a seasoned professional in the field of entrepreneurship education, boasting over a decade of substantial experience. He has engaged with a wide spectrum of individuals, ranging from executives in the C-suite to professionals working in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. Leveraging his extensive expertise, he provides service to a diverse clientele, including multinational corporations, medium-sized enterprises, start-ups in varying stages of growth, public institutions, and non-profit organizations, predominantly in Asia.
In a previous role at one of the world's largest innovation hubs, Joseph played a key role in supporting over 1,000 start-ups and tech ventures, as well as nurturing an estimated 18,000 tech talents. As the leader of the training platform, Joseph's experience spans an extensive range of innovation assignments across a variety of industries and business disciplines, affording him a wealth of insights and best practices.
Joseph is a deeply committed advocate for entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems. His considerable experience in developing incubation and acceleration programs, coupled with his advisory role to various Hong Kong-based technology start-ups, underscore his profound engagement in the field. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and corporate events, where he shares his insights on start-ups, corporate innovation, and entrepreneurship.
In terms of his academic accomplishments, Joseph has set himself apart through intensive study and research. He received an MBA, in addition to an MSc degree in Major Programme Management from St. Hugh’s College, University of Oxford, and a PgD in Entrepreneurship from Cambridge’s Judge Business School. He is currently completing his doctoral studies at the University of Bristol, with his research focusing on entrepreneurship education, innovation, and future skills.
Prior to his current role at EdUHK, Joseph honed his pedagogical skills as a lecturer at several esteemed academic institutions across Hong Kong and Macau. His depth of knowledge and commitment to teaching was recognised with his appointment as a senior lecturer, a role that underlines his substantial contribution to academia.
