We are excited to share the highlights from the "Diversity at Schools" cross-school workshop held on 28th August 2025. The event was collaboratively organised by the Jockey Club Learning Support Team and Catholic Ming Yuen Secondary School, aiming to enhance our understanding and support of neurodiverse students.
Principal Ching Sau Man presented on "Teaching Strategies to Support Students with Emotional and Behavioural Problems," using real-life cases to provide practical methods for addressing emotional challenges faced by students.
Dr Chim Ho Yeung, Hastings led a session on "VARK Teaching and Assessment Methods." His focus on the motivation-oriented learning approach encouraged participants to leverage students' strengths and potential in their teaching strategies.
The workshop was met with enthusiastic participation. It provided a valuable platform for mutual learning among educators, broadening their teaching perspectives and enhancing their professional capabilities. Participants expressed their hope for more opportunities in the future to partake in similar activities, gain new insights into teaching, and improve their effectiveness.
