Special School Placement Scheme 2025, organized by the Department of Special Education and Counselling (SEC) at EdUHK, was successfully completed from May to June 2025.
Thirty-nine students from different departments, with majors or minors in special education, inclusive education, or guidance and counselling, took part in the scheme and completed a three-week on-site placement at 19 partner special schools. Students also participated in 10 hours of group counselling facilitated by students of the Master of Arts in Educational Counselling (MAEC) programme, to deepen reflection on their practicum experiences and to foster stronger peer connections.
Participants made effective use of this valuable opportunity to broaden their understanding of special education, thereby fostering their personal growth and contributing to their future career development.
