World renowned professor in Speech-Language Pathology, Professor Leanne Togher from the University of Sydney, has taught the fourth times an annual two-week intensive course on Aphaisology and Communication disorder resulted from Traumatic Brain Injuries. Professor Togher has published more than 140 journal articles and 30 book chapters in the area of aphasia. Aphasia is a neurological language impairment due to stroke of the brain. With more than 20,000 people in Hong Kong suffer from stroke each year, there is a large population of people with aphasia waiting urgently for speech therapy. It is definitely our great honour, and blessing for the future speech therapists, the students of MScESLPLD, to learn from Professor Togher.
