The EdUHK Cross Country Team Excels at USFHK Race: Gains Valuable Experience
The EdUHK cross country team represented the school on 23 November in the USFHK Cross Country Race held on the campus of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, competing alongside teas from numerous tertiary institutions. The men’s team achieved an overall 8th place, while the women’s team secured an impressive 5th place overall.
The race course comprised mainly mountain trails and uneven routes within the campus, posing a demanding test of the athletes’ physical fitness, endurance and mental resilience. We appreciate the team members' dedication and perseverance in their prior training, they were able to maintain steady performances despite the demanding course and weather conditions, successfully completing the race. Several team members also succeeded in setting new personal bests.
After the race, the coach and team members conducted a thorough review and reflection on their performances, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the coach for his meticulous guidance and unwavering support throughout both training and competition. Building on the valuable experience gained from this event, the cross-country team will continue to train diligently, striving to achieve even better results in future competitions.
