Overview of Previous Programmes
Over the past decade, the Student Affairs Office's Career Development Services has actively organised Career Development Internship Programmes (CDIP) focused on the Greater China region. The aim is to assist students in gaining insights from entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic growth in this area. Through these programmes, students have the opportunity to build their professional networks early on, which is crucial for their future career development. Additionally, these experiences help them gain a more comprehensive understanding of the region's workplace culture and business environment.
In 2019, approximately 140 students participated in internship programmes across various locations in the Greater China Region. These opportunities not only broadened their horizons by exposing them to diverse industries but also fostered their respect and understanding of different cultures, laying a solid foundation for their future career paths.
Currently, the internship locations in the Greater China Region include Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Taipei, and Kaohsiung. The programme collaborates with numerous multinational corporations and well-known local organisations across multiple industries. Through hands-on experiences, students can gain deeper insights into the cultural and economic environment of the Greater China Region, enabling them to seize development opportunities across the region and prepare adequately for the challenges of a new era.
Programme Objectives:
- Enhance students' understanding of the Greater China Region's workplace environment, culture, and social customs.
- Provide students with broader exposure and experience across various sectors of society.
- Strengthen students' professional knowledge and skills.
- Create a platform for students to collaborate with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
