PSSIP provides internship placement opportunities for students who are permanent residents of the HKSAR and enrolled in full-time programmes offered by post-secondary institutions. If you want to enrich your summer, gain experience by working in the government bureau/ department and pursue a related career in the future, this is a great opportunity for you to get started.

The Administrative Service Internship Programme (ASSIP)
The Administrative Officers (AOs) in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region are professional public administrators who play a vital role in shaping government policies and managing public resources, contributing to various areas across different bureaux and departments. Internship Programme for Non-ethnic Chinese Students 2026
The Civil Service Bureau has organised the Internship Programme for Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) Students since 2019 to help NEC students accumulate work experience and enhance their competitiveness for employment. Students will have the opportunity to work at the bureau or department by providing administrative support.

Launched by the Civil Service Bureau in 2016 with the dual aims of allowing students with disabilities to gain hands-on work experience in the Government, the 2026 Internship Scheme for Students with Disabilities is now receiving applications.

Overseas Economic & Trade Offices (ETO) of HKSAR Government
The ASEAN Internship Scheme for Hong Kong Higher Education Students, organised by Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices (HKETO) in Singapore, Jakarta and Bangkok, is now open for applications. Participants will have chance to intern at HKETO in ASEAN member countries, broaden their horizons and engage in cultural exchange with friends from different countries.

- Placement Period: Between May and August 2026 with a duration of a minimum of 6 weeks (depends on the requirement of host organisation)
