Estimated Cost for studying in Hong Kong arrow
Self-financed non-local postgraduate students:

It is very difficult to give a precise estimate of the likely cost of study for non-local students because it varies depending on the type of accommodation selected, inflation rate and other personal factors. The estimated expenses, not including tuition fees, for self-financed non-local students living in on-campus temporary student bed places accommodation, are about HK$64,000 for 10 months (i.e. HK$6,400 x 10 months) which cover (a) food and general living expenses, around HK$40,000 for 10 months (i.e. HK$4,000 x 10 months); and (b) on-campus temporary student bed places accommodation, around HK$24,000 for 10 months (i.e. HK$2,400 x 10 months) which is subject to confirmation and exclusive of electricity charges payable by the users.
Student Accommodation arrow
Self-financed non-local postgraduate students:

The University does not guarantee on-campus accommodation owing to keen competition. You may apply for temporary student bed places accommodation at our Tai Po campus subject to availability of places. If you opt for on-campus accommodation, please fill in the relevant "Application Form for Accommodation in Temporary Student Bed Places at Vacant Staff Quarters" attached to the offer letter and return it to the Estates Office by email at tsbp2324@eduhk.hk by the stipulated deadline.

Since on-campus accommodation is highly competitive, hence not all admitted postgraduate students can get a place. Students may need to seek off-campus accommodation which is comparatively more expensive and students will need to budget for such extra costs. Estimated average cost of off-campus accommodation is HK$4,400 per month, per person of a 2-bedroom flat shared by 4 persons, depending on your personal choices. Please note that fees and charges would likely be revised upwards in case of inflation. Our Student Affairs Office (SAO) will provide off-campus accommodation information for reference. For more information, please visit Off-Campus Accommodation Information Platform (OAIP) for details.

Our Estates Office will inform the students of check-in arrangement via email. Students who are allocated an on-campus accommodation will be required to pay the 1st semester licence fee (pay by HKD to the bank). Should you have any questions concerning the above arrangements, you may contact the Estates Office by email (tsbp2324@eduhk.hk).
Non-local Student Support Services arrow
The Student Affairs Office provides support services to non-local students throughout their course of studies at the University. A wide range of services and activities including orientation programme, cultural activities, festival gatherings, and personal guidance are offered to help students gain a better understanding of the Hong Kong community, adjust to study and campus life, foster mutual support, as well as facilitate cultural exchange among all students.
