INTRODUCTION

The programme emphasises Mathematics subject knowledge, innovative pedagogical practices and flexible teaching environments. It is designed for Mathematics teachers who are looking for an opportunity to further their mathematical knowledge and to apply such knowledge to the learning and teaching of mathematics in the school settings. It aims to enable the participants to become competent mathematics teachers and enhance their upward mobility in the teaching career.


PROGRAMME AIMS

This programme aims to:
  • Broaden students' knowledge in Mathematics;
  • Help students Realize how to teach Mathematics in schools from an advanced mathematical point of view;
  • Expose students to different classroom environments and innovative pedagogical practices in Mathematics;
  • Cultivate synergy between subject knowledge and pedagogy in Mathematics; and
  • Foster students' critical thinking to enable them to become reflective practitioners.
