With the vision to nurture quality educators, learning professionals and education researchers with the professional excellence to ride on the challenges of the dynamic educational landscape of the 21st century, the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology seeks to:

(i) enhance the quality of education with the advancement in technology through building up the research capacity of academics in the department;

(ii) advance learning professionals’ discipline knowledge of mathematics and IT;

(iii) empower educators with the professional competence in mathematics and IT teaching as well as the integration of IT in education; and

(iv) develop pre-service and serving teachers’ global perspective to cope with the rapid changes brought about by the globalization and digital culture.
