This project is funded by the Quality Education Fund (e-Learning Ancillary Facilities Programme) and aims to develop an AI platform that integrates The Education University of Hong Kong's (EdUHK) well-established and widely used teaching assessment rubrics with a proprietary AI algorithm. The platform closely observes and assesses teachers’ verbal and non-verbal expressions, including speech, facial expressions, tone of voice, body language, and related classroom management skills. Through personalized performance scoring, comprehensive evaluations, and targeted recommendations for improvement, the platform supports teachers’ professional development from multiple perspectives.
According to a Circular Memorandum previously issued by the Education Bureau (EDB), publicly-funded schools may apply for grants to subscribe to all project deliverables under the scheme, and this project is one of them. We anticipate that the platform will be officially open for school subscriptions in mid-2026 as part of the third batch of project deliverables. Prior to the official launch, we cordially invite all schools in Hong Kong to a free trial to be among the first to experience the platform's features.
