Award of certification To be awarded a certificate, participants must successfully fulfill the 80% attendance requirement as stipulated by the course

1 Mental Health Promotion 1. Definition and importance of mental health
2. Positive psychology in family, school and the community
3. Promoting skills for social and emotional learning (SEL) and self-help skills
4. Early intervention for people with mental health needs
5. Roles of families, peers and community in facilitating well-being

2 Supporting Young people with Mental Health Needs 1. Understanding early psychosis, Juvenile Delinquency, Conduct Disorders, and Substance Abuse & Mental Health
2. Internet Addiction and Mobile Phone Dependency

3 Supporting Adults with Mental Health Needs 1. Common mental illnesses (e.g. Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) in adults 3 hours
4 Supporting Elderly with Mental Health 1. Understanding loneliness and depression in elderly
2. Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and Dementia

5 Supporting People with Self-Harm or Suicidal Behaviours 1. Understanding self-harm and suicidal behaviours
2. General principles for supporting people at risk of self-harm and suicidal behaviours

6 Existing Services and Programmes/Online Counselling and Effective Use of Community Resources 1. Pathways and Community resources related to mental health 3 hours
Site visit to local NGOs or hospitals regarding Mental Illness or Rehabilitation Services
Such as halfway houses, sheltered workshops, open employment agencies, and social enterprises
Project-end Mental Health Event in promoting and enhancing social awareness of mental wellbeing
