Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration
Mid-Autumn Festival, also called Moon Festival, is one of the most widely celebrated traditional festivals in Hong Kong. The “Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration”, jointly organised by Global Affairs Office and Student Affairs Office on 7 September, gathered local, non-local and exchange students of EdUHK to enjoy a celebrative evening together with President Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung and Vice President (Research and Development) Professor Chetwyn Chan Che-hin ahead of the Festival.
Students had a fun-filled gathering with a taste of lantern and wish making, lantern riddles, traditional games and handcrafts. Mooncakes were also prepared as the party takeaway souvenirs. To most of the exchange students, it was the very first Chinese traditional festival they had ever experienced, which they found truly fascinating.
