Courses

Summer School students are required to take 6 credits (2 courses) during the summer programme at EdUHK. Each student will enrol in two academic courses (each carries three credits) across various academic areas. 

One of these courses for ALL incoming summer exchange students is “East Meets West: The Cultural Tapestry of Hong Kong” to learn more about Hong Kong’s dynamic culture. 

The list of courses is available here. Courses will be updated on a regular basis.

Note:

    Each course is worth 3 credits (unless otherwise specified);

    Each course is equivalent to 39 contact hours;

    One credit normally equates to one hour of teaching per week, with over 13 teaching weeks in a semester.


Medium of Instruction

All teaching and assessments are conducted in English. 


Course Registration

Summer School students can register for courses online via EdUHK Portal (The Portal) prior to arrival. 

    No change in course selections can be made after the course registration.  

    Details will be provided to admitted exchange students in due course. Please also confirm your course selections with the International Office at your home institution.


Transcript

A transcript indicating the medium of instruction for teaching and assessment, the duration of the programme and the course(s) the student has completed will be sent to home institution in October 2026.
