My area of expertise is in language and social psychology (LSP) with an emphasis on intergroup and intercultural communication and relations between different student groups amid the internationalization of higher education. This has been my PhD and current postdoctoral area of research. I have also applied an LSP approach in health communication, including communication between patients and health care providers and among health care providers. I have also researched into the experiences and identity work of patients diagnosed with cancer.
