Empowering Remote Educators with AI and Digital Learning

On May 3, 2025, the ELE and Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) team visited the remote UNS-Kubumen campus to inspire 130+ future elementary school teachers and lecturers. 

📚 Ju Seong showcased how AI and Informal Digital Learning of English (IDLE) can transform English learning into an engaging, emotionally rich, and globally connected experience. Tim emphasized English as a global language and introduced Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) as a powerful tool for enhancing English skills, practicing the language, and fostering international friendships. 

🤝 Responding to students from access-limited areas, both speakers stressed the value of a growth mindset, leveraging available resources, and connecting with English-speaking communities.  They shared personal stories from volunteering in Papua New Guinea and Thailand, demonstrating how English unlocked personal and professional opportunities. 

🚀 This outreach reflects our mission to uplift communities through education, aligning with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals for Quality Education, Equality, and Partnerships.
