ELE Supporting Schools through Research Informed Teacher PD
On 21 April 2026, the ELE research team and doctoral students conducted a teacher professional development workshop, “Self-directed, Positive English Users in the AI Age,” for English teachers at Alliance Primary School, Sheung Shui.
The programme was developed through close collaboration with the school, beginning with a needs analysis and followed by the design and implementation of school-specific, scenario-based training. For our doctoral students, this workshop offered a valuable opportunity to see how research can be translated into practical teacher development and to learn directly from frontline teachers’ experiences.
ELE remains committed to supporting Hong Kong schools through research-informed practice, while nurturing doctoral students through meaningful engagement with real classroom contexts.
