Students are required and provided with support to participate in the Regional Summer Institute (RSI), an international exchange experience that involves lectures, class debates, discussions, field visits, and professional visits to government offices, non-governmental organisations, and social service agencies in select Asian societies. They are also required to complete a small-scale research project with university students from the Asian region to enable them to put their acquired skills and knowledge into practice, as well as to develop their research and intercultural communication skills.
