Entrepreneurial school assessment
Our recommendation
We recommend that leaders reflect deeply on what they will do and why they do it before asking
their team to move forward.
Reflection is an essential component of the learning process. Reflection allows a person to review
their need for change and helps them to implement a change in practice in order to combat
stagnation (Beck 1996). It is important to engage in systematic reflection by making it an integral
part of one's regular practice. A journal acts as a tool to ensure time is set aside for regular reflection
(Larrivee & Cooper 2006).
The following cycle provides the foundation for an entrepreneurial leader to reflect on their current
situation and plan to achieve what they want. In a broader sense, the method can be applied
to manage an entrepreneurial school.
Today Tomorrow
Where I am? Where I want to be?
Who I am? action Who I want to be?
How I am? How I want to be?
The Entrepreneurial Cycle has four parts–

Decide how and where to apply this knowledge and skills
Tomorrow in your school/working group to enhance work efficiency.
'Where do you want to apply this in your school?' Decide how you want to become a better leader of people

are to what you want to become.
Action Establish a plan with all actions from grand to small,
'What do you need to do to move from today to tomorrow?' which help you move towards your goal.
Implement the actions.
Evaluate the performance of the actions.
Apply, modify and repeat
Modify the goal and action plan to reduce the gap
between expected outcome and reality.
