Alumni associations / groups have been established to provide a platform for the alumni of EdUHK and the former Colleges of Education to renew their friendship with fellow students and alumni.

You are cordially invited to join any of these alumni associations / groups to stay connected with the Alma Mater, to interact with other members within the EdUHK community, and to expand your personal network. (Note: Some alumni associations were set up before the re-titling of the institution to EdUHK and prefer to keep “HKIEd” in the name of alumni associations.)

Rural Training College Alumni Association Ltd.
Northcote College of Education Past Students' Association The Northcote College of Education Past Students’ Association was found in 1946 to promote education, improve academics, foster connections, and provide mutual assistance to alums of the Northcote College of Education. In cooperation with The Education University of Hong Kong (and its predecessor, the Hong Kong Institute of Education), the Association has made significant contributions to the promotion of education in the region.

Sir Robert Black College of Education Past Students' Association The Sir Robert Black College of Education Past Students’ Association has been dedicated to providing comprehensive and diversified educational services to the community for over 50 years. The Association aims to foster the development of talented individuals who will contribute to society and provide a supportive learning environment for students in Hong Kong. By offering a range of educational opportunities and promoting excellence, the Association works to help children and young people reach their full potential and positively impact society.
The EdUHK Alumni Association The EdUHK Alumni Association was established in 1996 by the inaugural group of students at the Hong Kong Institute of Education. The organisation’s mission, guided by the motto ‘Working together in education now and sustaining this passion,’ is to foster a sense of community and connection among alumni while supporting the University and its students. To achieve this, The EdUHK Alumni Association maintains strong ties with EdUHK and publishes a journal to communicate among alums. Additionally, the Association collaborates with the student union and various alumni groups to plan and host various activities and events. Through these efforts, The EdUHK Alumni Association strives to promote excellence in education and create a supportive learning environment for all university community members.
The Graduate Association of Colleges of Education Founded in 1979 by a group of graduates from the Colleges of Education, the Association is committed to promoting academic disciplines, teacher-student relationship and teacher quality. "Being a Novice Teacher”, is a regular annual activity of the Association nurturing new teachers. In recent years, together with the educators of other institutions, the Association has jointly organized activities with local and mainland educational institutions, striving to uphold the mission of “being a good teacher and passing on the passion".

The Educator Strings - The Hong Kong Institute of Education Alumni Strings Ensemble ‘The Educator Strings - The Hong Kong Institute of Education Alumni Strings Ensemble’, an ensemble dedicated to improving the musical abilities of its members and connecting with alumni. It supports music teachers to gain organisation skill and training knowledge through band practice. Moreover, it organises various music events to cultivate a culture of ensemble music in the public.
EdRingers Founded in 2009, EdRingers is a collective of dedicated educators who have a passion for handbell music and have come together to form this organisation.

The EdUHK Department of Asian and Policy Studies Alumni Association The EdUHK Department of Asian and Policy Studies Alumni Association aims to foster unity and professional relationships among its members, establish a formal channel of communication and collaboration with the department, contribute to the growth and development of the department and university, undertake projects in support of student leadership, scholarship, community service, and environmental stewardship, and provide a pool of experts and professionals that the department and its students can tap for academic or career advancement.
The EdUHK Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Special Needs) Alumni Association The EdUHK Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Special Needs) Alumni Association, with the purpose of fostering a community of accomplished professionals in the field of special education services, aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and information regarding course offerings and current developments in the realm of special and inclusive education. Additionally, the Association endeavors to provide opportunities for networking and professional development to its members, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the quality and expertise of special education services.
The Education University of Hong Kong Mainland Alumni Association The aim is to unite the mainland alumni of EdUHK, enhancing their connection with their alma mater and local alumni, building a platform for talent exchange between the two places, contributing to their alma mater, and serving society.
