黃妙賢博士

Dr. Eliz M.Y. Wong is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Sciences and Policy Studies at the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), where she also serves as the Associate Programme Leader for the Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Sociology and Community Studies. Trained as a sociologist with a specialization in social policy, she obtained her Ph.D. from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), supported by a full LSE scholarship; an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, supported by The Women’s Foundation Full Scholarship; and her BSSc and MPhil from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining EdUHK, she was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, supported by the prestigious RGC Junior Research Fellow Scheme.

Her research interests center on social inequality, gender and family, mental health and well-being, and the social and health impacts of generative AI. Methodologically, she specializes in mixed-methods research, combining quantitative data analysis with qualitative approaches such as in-depth interviews and content analysis.

Dr. Wong has established a strong research profile, with her work publishing in top-tier peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Marriage and Family, Journal of Mixed Methods Research, Social Science & Medicine, and Computers in Human Behavior.
