INTRODUCTION
After completing this minor, students should be able to:
- Analyse the opportunities and challenges associated with the tourism and hospitality sector within local, regional and global contexts;
- Develop pedagogical initiatives that take into account the features of the prevailing curriculum in the school sector and best practices in the tourism sector;
- Explain the value of environmental and heritage conservation with reference to empirical examples and different regulatory standards; and,
- Apply professional knowledge and competency essential to the development of the tourism sector. Design, with justifications, learning initiatives that enhance the sense of national identity and learners’ global perspective.
