SSPS Public Policy Summer School Concludes Successfully
The SSPS Public Policy Summer School 2026, hosted by the Department of Social Sciences and Policy Studies (SSPS) at The Education University of Hong Kong, concluded successfully on 14 July 2026.
Held from 8 to 14 July 2026, the Summer School brought together participants from partner institutions and leading universities in Chinese Mainland, Thailand, and Malaysia for a week of academic learning, policy dialogue, cultural exchange, and experiential field-based learning.
Throughout the programme, participants attended lectures delivered by distinguished scholars from different universities and practitioners on key issues in public policy, governance, public administration, and social innovation. They also took part in a variety of educational visits and cultural activities, including visits to the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), Lantau Island, Wong Tai Sin Temple, as well as mini flower plaque workshop which introduced participants to one of Hong Kong’s recognised intangible cultural heritage traditions. These activities provided valuable insights into Hong Kong’s governance, society, culture, and community development.
The programme received positive feedback from participants. Many highlighted the opportunities for academic exchange and networking with students from different countries and universities.
The Summer School provided a valuable platform for participants to deepen their understanding of contemporary public policy issues, broaden their global perspectives, and build meaningful international networks and friendships.
We look forward to welcoming students from around the world to future editions of the SSPS Public Policy Summer School and continuing to promote academic exchange, international collaboration, and global engagement.
