Internship bridges disparities between theory and practice

Muriel Jiang Muwei, a Bachelor of Science in Executive Management student at #EdUHK, is applying her academic knowledge to practical settings, thanks to an internship at Shenzhen Bei Station Innovative and Entrepreneurship Service Center for Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau Youth.

During her internship, she led visits, shared innovative policies and organised impactful events. Through these projects, she has faced complex real-world issues much different to those in textbooks. By overcoming these issues, she has deepened her understanding of how to apply knowledge and has realised the significance of soft skills and hands-on learning, such as clear communication and flexibility, in bridging the gap between academic ideas and industry demands.
