Writing Your Name in Japanese!

You are all invited to the online event, “WRITING YOUR NAME IN JAPANESE”!

If…

                  • You are interested in Japan or Japanese language
                  • You really don’t know about Japan
                  • You’ve seen Japanese characters but have no idea how they sound like
                  • You want to be able to introduce yourself in Japanese

You are more than welcome to join!

 

In Japan, three kinds of characters, 漢字(kanji), ひらがな(hiragana), and カタカナ(katakana) are used. In this event, we are going to focus on hiragana and katakana.

 

Through the event, you can learn

                  • the history of hiragana and katakana, how they are used in daily life, etc.
                  • How to write your name in Japanese
                  • How to introduce yourself in Japanese
                  • This would be a good opportunity for you to reach a new language!
