The EdUHK Campus Run 2025
The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) was buzzing with energy on Monday, 17th November 2025, as the annual Campus Run event took place successfully. The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 120 members of the university community, including EdUHK staff, students, dedicated student helpers, and specially invited primary student-athletes.
The run commenced at noon from the vibrant Central Plaza. Under beautifully clear and sunny skies, participants of all ages and fitness levels set off, showcasing not only their physical prowess but also their determination and team spirit. The scenic campus route provided a perfect backdrop for the event, which was filled with encouragement and cheers.
The EdUHK Campus Run 2025 successfully achieved its goal of promoting health, wellness, and community bonding. The University extends its heartfelt gratitude to every participant, volunteer, and supporter who contributed to making this event a memorable and resounding success.

Sports For All in EdUHK - Chinese Medicine & Health Workshop
The Sports For All in EdUHK - Chinese Medicine & Health Workshop, organized by the Sports Development Section of Student Affairs Office, successfully concluded on November 4, 2025. The event received an enthusiastic response, with over 50 staff and students participating to experience various traditional Chinese medicine therapies.
Five Chinese medicine practitioners were invited to the campus to share their expertise, offering participants an accessible introduction to common office-related pain conditions such as shoulder and neck stiffness, and lower back soreness. The subsequent sessions—including the “Acupuncture Workshop,” “Cupping & scraping Workshop,” and “Massaging Workshop”—allowed attendees to personally experience traditional Chinese therapies. These hands-on activities demonstrated how simple and easy-to-learn techniques can help relieve pain and promote blood circulation, while deepening participants’ understanding of the theories and practices behind Chinese medicine pain management.
We will continue to promote diverse activities to strengthen connections between staff and students, and to encourage greater attention to personal health. Thank you once again for your support.





"Sports For All in EdUHK - Yoga 2025" Event Sparks Joy and Relaxation Among Campus Community!
To promote a healthy campus lifestyle, the Sports Development Section of Student Affairs Office organized the "Yoga 2025" event at the H.Y. Cheung Sports Hall. Nearly fifty students and staff members enthusiastically participated in this engaging activity. The event featured a special session led by Queenie Yeung, an experienced yoga instructor with 500 hours of certification from the American Yoga Alliance (Yoga Alliance), providing professional guidance throughout the practice.
Participants enjoyed a one-hour yoga session under Queenie’s expert instruction, during which they actively engaged in the practice, relaxing both body and mind. At the end of the session, all participants expressed their happiness and received a yoga mat as a souvenir, serving as a memorable keepsake of the experience.
This event not only enhanced the physical and mental well-being of attendees but also fostered interaction among students and staff. The Sports Development Section looks forward to organizing more diverse sports and health activities in the future, welcoming everyone to join.








Climbing Fun for All: Level 1 Sports Climbing Training Certificate Course Schedule
The Sports Development Section of Student Affairs Office at EdUHK organized a Level 1 Sports Climbing training course, and nine students and staff happily took part, discovering the joy of climbing. Over two days, participants enjoyed learning how to climb on the campus climbing walls, experiencing both the challenge and the thrill of reaching new heights. Led by experienced instructors, everyone immersed themselves in the excitement of the sport, sharing laughs and encouraging each other along the way. By the end of the course, all nine students and staff proudly received their Level 1 Sports Climbing Certificate from the Hong Kong Climbing and Mountaineering Union. The event not only allowed students to enjoy the fun of climbing but also helped them become more familiar with campus facilities and fostered a stronger sense of belonging. The Sports Development Section of Student Affairs Office is dedicated to promoting diverse sports activities, inspiring students to try new things, and reaching new heights both in their studies and in sports. This memorable experience has surely sparked a passion for climbing and a greater connection to campus life.




The EdUHK Futsal Invitation Competition
“Sports for All” - The EdUHK Futsal Invitation Competition (Primary) has been held on 4th October 2025. After we have held the Staff and EdUHK students Futsal competition on 18th September 2025, there are 20 schools, 19 male teams and 10 female teams with over 370 students to participate in this futsal events.
Moreover, The EdUHK Futsal Invitation Competition (Primary) is a great chance for our alumni (PE teachers or coaches) to lead their students coming “home” and promote Futsal to primary school students.
Due to the typhoon, the men's competition has been cancelled. If there are any updates, we will inform all participating schools.

The EdUHK Futsal Competition 2025-2026
The EdUHK Futsal Competition was successfully held on 18 September 2025 at the EdUHK Sports Hall, bringing together a dynamic mix of talent and enthusiasm. The event drew approximately 100 participants, contributing to a vibrant and competitive atmosphere throughout the day.
Adding to the excitement, a lively exhibition match between the Staff Team and the Women’s Soccer Team energized the crowd and showcased the camaraderie across the EdUHK community.
This year’s event proudly stood out as a multinational celebration, attracting student participants from diverse national backgrounds—truly reflecting the global spirit of EdUHK. Also,we were honored to welcome Professor Yeung, Dean of Students, as our guest of honor for the award presentation.

The EdUHK Wellness Carnival 2025 Concludes Successfully
On September 9, 2025, the Central Plaza at EdUHK was bustling with energy and joy as the "EdUHK Wellness Carnival 2025" was held. Over 350 staff members and students actively participated in this vibrant event dedicated to promoting physical and mental well-being.
We are deeply honored to have invited Professor Yeung Chi-ho, the Dean of Students, and Mr. Cho Hoi On, the Associate Dean of Students, to attend the opening ceremony and witness the launch of this energizing event.
During the opening ceremony, five students from the EdUHK Rope Skipping Team performed an impressive jump rope demonstration. Among them, four are members of the Hong Kong,China national team. Their exceptional skills and seamless coordination received widespread applause from the audience, showcasing the students’ outstanding athleticism and team spirit.
The carnival featured six specially curated activity booths, providing participants with engaging opportunities to experience and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.
Many attendees expressed that the event not only allowed everyone to relax and have fun but also strengthened connections within the campus community. We sincerely thank all the dedicated staff and students who participated.
We look forward to organizing more similar health-promoting activities in the future, with the aim of cultivating a vibrant and caring campus environment.

Sports Leadership Program Students Embrace Korean Sports Culture in Seoul Sports Experience Tour
A group of 9 students from the Sports Leadership Program experienced a week-long Sports Experience Tour to Seoul, South Korea, from 17 to 23 May 2025, organized by themselves and the staff from the Sports Development Section of the Student Affairs Office. The tour was designed to deepen students’ understanding of international sports culture and leadership through immersive, hands-on experiences across the vibrant city.
Throughout the seven-day journey, students explored a wide range of sports environments and cultural experiences, gaining valuable insights into how South Korea blends tradition with innovation in its approach to sports. From visiting modern stadiums to engaging in traditional martial arts, the tour offered a holistic perspective on sports development.
Immersive Cultural Experiences
One of the key highlights was the visit to Korea National Sport University and the Olympic Park, where students toured state-of-the-art facilities and learned about the country’s commitment to nurturing elite athletes. Also, students participated in a Taekwondo experience and visited Kukkiwon, the world headquarters of Taekwondo, where students gaining a deeper appreciation for discipline and heritage in sports.
In addition to institutional visits, the group experienced Korean sports culture firsthand—starting with a vibrant tour of the Seoul World Cup Stadium and the Football Fǽntasiumm. They also attended a live baseball game, immersing themselves in the electrifying atmosphere of Korea’s beloved national sport.
The tour also encouraged students to step beyond traditional sports. A K-pop dance workshop followed by a street dance performance in the lively Hongdae district challenged students to express themselves creatively and develop confidence in unfamiliar settings.
Building Leadership Through Challenge
The journey wasn’t just about observing—it was also about testing personal limits. Students hiked to the iconic N Seoul Tower and participated in the thrilling Seoul Sky Bridge Tour, where they walked high above the city on a sky bridge and enjoyed panoramic views from Seoul Sky. These physically and mentally demanding activities pushed students to demonstrate courage, perseverance, and teamwork—core values of sports leadership.
Throughout the tour, students engaged with local experts, participated in cultural exchanges, and reflected on the global dimensions of sports leadership. By stepping outside their comfort zone and engaging directly with Korean sports culture, they gained perspectives that will enrich their development as future leaders in the field.






Sports Leadership Program Students Gain Global Exposure in Macau Study Tour
A group of 10 students from the Sports Leadership Program, accompanied by staff from the Sports Development Section of the Student Affairs Office, embarked on a two-day Sports Experience Tour to Macau,China from 18 to 19 December 2024. This meaningful journey was designed to broaden students’ exposure to international practices in sports development, leadership, and innovation.
The highlight of the tour was an academic exchange at the University of Macau, where students were welcomed by a faculty member for a guided tour of the university’s sports facilities. This visit offered insights into how high education institutions support student-athletes and promote a culture of excellence in sports through infrastructure and academic support.
Another meaningful component of the tour was a visit to Legend Hero Park, where students immersed themselves in a high-tech sports environment. This futuristic experience encouraged students to reflect on how innovation can elevate both individual and team development in sports. The group also visited the Macau Grand Prix Museum, which provided a deeper appreciation of the city’s rich motorsports heritage. To round off the trip, students took on a series of mental challenges at Zip City, a unique adventure venue known for its thrilling zipline activities. This experience tested their resilience and courage, which are the core values of sports leadership.
Throughout the tour, students demonstrated curiosity, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of leadership. By stepping outside the classroom, they gained valuable insights that will serve them well in their future roles as sports leaders.

The Education University of Volleyball Competition 2025, hosted by the Sports Development Section of the Student Affairs Office was successfully held on 25 Mar, 28 Mar and 3 Apr 2025. Students have showcased of their excellence volleyball skills and team spirit during the competition. They also presented their never giving up attitude in the match. A total over 100 students and staff participated and competed for the awards.

The EdUHK Futsal Invitation Competition for Secondary Schools took place on March 29, 2025. This event provides a wonderful opportunity for our alumni to welcome their students back and to promote Futsal among secondary school students. The Po Leung Kuk Affiliated Secondary Schools Sports Day
The Po Leung Kuk Affiliated Secondary Schools Sports Day (2024-2025) concluded on February 21, 2025, at Tsing Yi Sports Ground. The closing ceremony featured Ms. Lee Ho Ching, a representative of the Hong Kong,China table tennis team, as the guest of honor. Members of the Po Leung Kuk Board of Directors and principals from the affiliated secondary schools were also in attendance. Seventeen schools participated in 7 track and 4 field events. Under the guidance of Mr. Chan Ching Yat, Roy from HPE, and Mr. Yong Chi Fung from SAO, dozens of students from EdUHK contributed in various roles, including referees, starters, and record-keepers, and more, ensuring the event's smooth operation.
Teachers from the affiliated schools praised the EdUHK students for their proactive approach and willingness to take on responsibilities. Their enthusiasm and commitment significantly contributed to the success of the event, providing invaluable support to the organizing committee. The teachers noted that the EdUHK students not only demonstrated strong organizational skills but also exemplified leadership qualities, fostering a spirit of teamwork and collaboration that enhanced the overall experience for participants and spectators alike. In particular, the students who served as referees were recognized for their fairness and rigor, ensuring that all competitions were conducted in an equitable manner, which upheld the integrity of the event.
This event provided EdUHK students with practical experience in sports management, fostering professional growth and community engagement. By assisting in large-scale events, they gained valuable insights into event coordination, teamwork, and leadership, which are essential for their future careers in health and physical education. It also highlighted the importance of physical education while enhancing their organizational skills, further aligning with their roles in promoting health and sportsmanship within the community.

Sports Leadership Programme – Stick Mobility Coaching Service for alma mater
The workshop's primary goal is to give our sports leaders experience in teaching a diverse group of individuals. This role change is a good chance for the alma mater’s teachers to see our sports leader’s continuous growth. Moreover, this also builds the continuous connection between EdUHK and schools.
On March 5, 2025, Salesian English School kicked off an exciting initiative with the launch of the Stick Mobility School Tour, provided by the Sports Development Section of the EdUHK Student Affairs Office (SAO). This innovative program aims to enhance physical education and promote movement literacy among participants while providing valuable teaching experience for sports leaders.
The event featured 3 sports leaders with professional qualifications who conducted an engaging workshop for Salesian teachers. With their expertise in stick mobility techniques, they introduced various exercises that can be easy for participants to follow. The leaders emphasized the importance of functional movement, showcasing how stick mobility can enhance flexibility, strength, and overall athletic performance.
The successful launch of the Stick Mobility School Tour at Salesian English School is just the beginning. With plans for more workshops to follow, the program aims to reach even more educators and students, promoting a culture of movement and wellness within the school community. The excitement generated by this initial event suggests that the Stick Mobility School Tour will be a transformative experience for many.
In conclusion, the March 5 workshop was a brilliant start to what promises to be an impactful journey for Salesian English School. With the support of the EdUHK SAO Sports Development Section, the dedication of the sports leaders, and the enthusiasm of the participating teachers, the future looks bright for enhancing physical education through innovative practices like stick mobility while providing invaluable teaching experience for sports leaders.


The EdUHK & EDUJCPS Rugby Invitation Competition 2024
The SDS Sports Leadership Programme successfully organized the Rugby Invitation Competition on 7th December 2024, at the EdUHK Sports Centre (PSK), in collaboration with our affiliated school, The Education University of Hong Kong Jockey Club Primary School. The sports leaders dedicated three months to preparing for the competition, which attracted an impressive turnout of over 350 athletes from 19 different schools. A total of 35 teams showcased their skills and sportsmanship, creating a vibrant and competitive atmosphere that highlighted the rugby talent of young competitors.
The event not only showcased the athletic prowess of the participants but also fostered a sense of community and camaraderie among the participating schools. The SDS Sports Leadership Programme remains committed to promoting sports and physical activity, providing a platform for young athletes to excel and grow.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the sports leaders, athletes, coaches, and schools that participated in this memorable event. This is the only event in Hong Kong, China for primary school students to play Futsal indoors. We total have 19 primary schools, 18 boys teams, 6 girls teams with over 300 participants to join this big event.
