Our department is pleased to welcome Professor Bettina Simone WIESE, Dr. Anna Maria STERTZ, Dr. Ruth NOPPENEY from RWTH Aachen University, Germany for a visit from 21 to 26 August 2023. This visit is partly supported by FEHD's International Research Exchange Scheme.
During their 6-day visit, the three scholars engaged in productive meetings with faculty members from our department regarding ongoing research projects. These collaborative research endeavours are expected to make significant contributions to the academic performance and impact of both institutions. Additionally, the scholars interacted with our postgraduate students, providing valuable consultations that inspired them in their own research pursuits.
On August 23, 2023, the scholars jointly conducted an open research seminar. Dr. Ruth Noppeney delivered a presentation titled "Career Goals and Goal Pursuit in Early-career Scientists," while Dr. Anna M. Stertz shared insights on "A Psychological Perspective on Parental Leave." The team engaged in fruitful and in-depth research discussions with faculty members and postgraduate students during these seminars.
