On October 31, 2026, The Education University of Hong Kong successfully hosted its annual Information Day, welcoming prospective students and their families to explore the University's diverse academic programmes and vibrant campus life. The Department of Psychology organized a series of engaging activities, including Programme Talks, a Psychology Carnival, and Laboratory Tours, providing visitors with valuable insights into the Psychology [BSocSc(Psy)] programme and the exciting world of psychological science.

A highlight of the event was the Programme Talks, led by Programme Leader Dr. Yeung Kin Chung Michael and Admission Officer Dr. Chan Wing Yan Arita. The sessions introduced prospective students to the programme's distinctive curriculum, experiential learning opportunities, research strengths, and diverse career pathways in psychology.

 

The Psychology Carnival attracted more than 500 participants throughout the day. Through interactive booths, cognitive games, and psychology-themed quizzes, visitors explored key psychological concepts in a fun and engaging environment. The activities encouraged participants to experience firsthand how psychology helps us understand human thinking, learning, and behaviour.

 

Visitors also enjoyed exclusive tours of the recently upgraded Psychological and Behavioral Sciences Laboratory. During the tours, guests explored the state-of-the-art facilities and observed live demonstrations of psychological experiments, gaining a deeper appreciation of the Department's commitment to research excellence and innovative learning.
