Enquiry

This seminar comprises two parts — “Inquiry in Mathematics Education” and “e-Learning in School Education”. Learning mathematics through inquiry and investigation might inspire learners to learn with genuine understanding and might also have the potential to connect abstract ideas with real world applications. This seminar aims to encourage more discussion to promote inquiry in mathematics education. In response to the promotion of e-Learning in school by the Government, the seminar will enable participants to gain an in-depth understanding of the implementation of e-learning in school education in Hong Kong and outside Hong Kong. Drawing on the experience of Singapore to implement e-learning, the seminar will broaden the participants’ perspective in e-learning in school education in general and in mathematics learning in particular.
