Technology is a rapidly growing area of interest for educational
research and teaching. Therefore the ways in which technology
is applied to educational contexts is an issue of concern for
students, schools, tertiary providers and the community. These
current issues form a key area of research which has several
areas of interest such as:
- The use of mobile technology in education
- E-learning
- Virtual communities
- Supporting collaborative learning in geographically distributed
contexts
A key role of the Key Research Area (KRA) of Technology in
Education will be to support research across these 4 interest
areas, and to contribute to the creation of a diverse and prolific
research culture at the Institute of Education.
