HKIEd and CUHK join hands to groom English teachers

Subsequent to the agreement on deep collaboration, signed between the heads of HKIEd and CUHK on 9 July 2005, the two institutions have since been working jointly on launching individual programmes.

In mid December 2005, the first collaborative programme -- four-Year full-time Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Studies and Education was formally announced, inviting applications.

A distinctive feature of the programme is that its well-integrated curriculum is tailor-made to nurture professional and caring teachers with a strong foundation in English language and literature, as well as solid pedagogical knowledge and skills.
