Cambridge scholar spoke on "Education as Dialogue"
On 19 October 2005, Professor Robin Alexander, an internationally renowned scholar from the University of Cambridge, gave a public lecture at HKIEd. He examined the impact of globalisation on the varied dynamics of today's education, contrasting generic skills vis-a-vis established knowledge while emphasising the importance of teachers-students dialogue. Professor Alexander raised a most important issue for the audience to reflect on - "What kind of a future do we want for our children, and for their children?"


Teen entrepreneurs opened business at Lunar New Year fair
On 21-22 January 2006, 49 teams comprising 500 students from 26 secondary schools competed for honours and awards in the "Teen Entrepreneurs Competition", held at the HKIEd Tai Po Campus. The Competition which is now in its third year, was organised by the Department of Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences and Technology (MSST). Throughout the entire process, the teen entrepreneurs were guided by MSST staff and students.
