We Cherish Every Dollar You Donated

 

"Love HKIEd Charity Gala Banquet" organised by Students' Union

Working entirely on its own, the Students' Union organised the "Love HKIEd Charity Gala Banquet" in the evening of 16 February 2006. The 250 dinner coupons were quickly sold out like hot cakes. On the occasion, students, the President and members of the management, staff, professional teacher and education-related organisations as well as some external bodies were able to rub shoulders in a relaxed ambience.

During the dinner, Jerome Chan, President of the Students' Union professed, "I love HKIEd and am proud to be a member of the Institute." The atmosphere of the evening climaxed with the musical instrument, Chinese martial arts and dance performance put on by students. Donated items including mobile phones, porcelains designed by students and Chinese calligraphy were auctioned and sold at high prices. As such the dinner raised a total of over $130,000 for the HKIEd Development Fund.
