Participating in the AIA Quest for the Champion Communicator 2005

The PGDE(S)-LSSKP will offer about 50 places. To meet the overwhelming demand which is expected, the Institute is actively planning programmes of different modes and durations for teachers who plan to teach Liberal Studies. Short-term courses have been designed to address the urgent needs of individual teachers. One such course is the Professional Development Programme for Teachers of Liberal Studies which emphasises the development of critical thinking through an issue-enquiry approach.
Prof Bernard Luk, Vice President (Academics) and Dr May Cheng, Deputy Head of Science Department announcing the launch of Liberal Studies programme at a press conference.

In brief, Liberal Studies asks for a paradigm shift in teaching and learning which starts with a change agent - the teacher.
