The Institute has won the Gold Award for the Best Managed Facility 2004 (non residential and commercial category), organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Facility Management (HKIFM).

Officiating at the Lady Ivy Wu Lecture Theatre Naming Ceremony held on 19 January 2005, Sir Gordon Wu said, "The community should try to support the training of teachers. It is very important to train good teachers who are the building blocks of our society."
