Professor Leung Chi-hung, Co-Director of The Integrated Centre for Wellbeing (I-WELL), was invited to be a guest speaker at the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children Conference 2026 (HKSPC Conference) on May 8. The event brought together experts from various sectors to focus on how to equip the next generation to face a future driven by artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
Professor Leung gave an in-depth introduction and analysis of the AI teacher training platform, “TeachTech+”. This platform integrates The Education University of Hong Kong’s (EdUHK) well-established and widely used teaching assessment rubrics with an independent AI algorithm, enabling precise analysis of teachers’ performance in both teaching and classroom management. The platform automatically generates personalized evaluation scores and targeted improvement reports.
In addition, Professor Leung elaborated on the positive impact of TeachTech+ in supporting teachers' professional development and promoting students’ learning and growth. Through this AI platform, teachers can create a more inspiring learning environment for students, helping them learn more effectively and fully equip themselves to meet the challenges of an ever-changing era.
