The annual lecture series is intended to bring renowned academics from Mainland China to HKIEd to promote scholarly exchange in Chinese linguistics, literature and culture through the delivery of lectures. The 5th Fong Yun Wah Distinguished Lecture Series was held successfully from 31 October to 8 November 2013 at HKIEd, with the following guest speakers sharing their scholarly insights with us: he 5th Fong Yun Wah Distinguished Lecture 人文學院第五屆方潤華講座 TSeries held by the Faculty of Humanities 方潤華基金的慷慨捐贈下，方潤華講座自2009年舉辦 至今。講座旨在邀請在中國語言學、文學及文化範疇內 卓有成就的國內著名學者每年到教育學院演講，從而推動彼此 的學術交流。 第五屆方潤華講座已於2013年10月31日至11月8日成功 舉行，由以下講者與大家分享他們精闢的學術見解。 All three lectures attracted large audiences, including our staff and students, whose active participation and zealous responses were impressive. The lectures deepened their understanding of the issues concerned and enhanced their teaching and learning in the classrooms.
