On 5 August 2025, The Department of Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) at The Education University of Hong Kong, supported the opening of Youth Pulse 2025 held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Dr Kevin Yung, Associate Professor and Associate Head (International and Local Engagement) of C&I, was invited to deliver a keynote on the topic “Cross-cultural communication and language learning.” Themed “Youth Worldwide, Embrace Diverse Cultures”, the four-day event has attracted over 1,000 young delegates, educational experts, and cultural ambassadors from 15 countries and regions. The event featured the 21st Century Cup Youth Cultural Exchange Conference, where youths worldwide came to Hong Kong and participated in an English public speaking competition. Dr Kevin Yung was invited to serve as a judge for the competition.

The event was hosted by China Daily Youth Channel and the Global Innovation Center, with the support of the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government. C&I was invited by the International Centre for UNESCO ASPnet (ICUA), the academic support unit of the event, to support the opening and the 21st Century Cup Youth Cultural Exchange Conference.
