The talk examined basic principles and tools of validating an adapted research tool. Prof. Gavin Brown especially focused on the use of Multi-group Confirmatory Factor Analysis invariance study and the use of the dMACS procedure to evaluate the scale of invariance. Two examples were given from published research collaborations around teacher conceptions of feedback and invariance in the PISA 2009 reading test.
