2026-02-28

On 28th February 2026, Dr Kason Cheung was invited to give a thematic seminar to 100 primary science teachers at the Chi Lin Buddhist Primary School. The seminar was jointly organised by The Hong Kong Association for Computer Education (HKACE) and Education Bureau (EDB). Two local academics in the field of AI in science education were invited to share the latest research findings in the intersection between AI and science education.

Dr Cheung shared his GenAI platform in promoting student’s scientific drawings in the new primary science curriculum. The platform gives lively feedback to students’ drawing of evaporation of water in different modes. Owing to its alignment with the new primary science curriculum, the platform had attracted attention of the attendees. The attendees commented that the seminar was practical and useful for their incorporation of AI in primary science lessons.
