夥伴合作:因材施教 貢獻社群 香港教育大學 2020-2021 年報 31 Student support Following its launch in 2019-20, over 280 students have benefitted from the new Relief Bursary, after four rounds of applications. The bursary was made possible by the President’s and Vice Presidents’ salary donations, alongside other funding sources. Quarantine allowances and online learning assistance were provided for the University’s international students facing travel restrictions. The Student Affairs Office also initiated a peer support network for international students with sister universities, at the request of the universities’ heads. During the period, a hybrid and blended mode was adopted for service learning, leadership training and positive education among students. Over 600 students were engaged in different community services involving 42 NGOs and schools. To connect employers with current students and recent graduates, the University held its first virtual career fair in May 2021, featuring job opportunities in education, STEM, NGOs, government and business. Campus development To provide a convenient location for the professional development of in-service teachers and related activities, the Education Bureau granted a North Point site to the University as a town centre, in addition to the Tseung Kwan O Study Centre which has been operational since 2012. Renovationworks will commence in late 2021 and are targeted to be completed in 2023. Preparatory works, for the construction of a new academic building on the Tai Po campus to cater for the growing needs for teaching space, progressed as scheduled. 支援學生 承蒙校長及副校長們捐出部分薪酬,加上其他款項,本校於二零 一九至二零年度推出新的「紓困助學金」,援助有需要學生。經過 四輪申請後,已有逾二百八十名學生受惠。此外,本校亦為受旅遊 限制影響的國際生提供隔離期間津貼與線上學習支援。因應各大學 校長建議,學生事務處亦發起朋輩支援網絡,連結八所資助大學的 國際生,相互支持。 年內,本校為學生而設的服務學習、領袖培訓及正向教育亦以混合 模式進行;逾六百名學生參與各式各樣的社區服務,涵蓋四十二所 非政府組織及學校。而為連繫僱主、學生與應屆畢業生,本校於二 零二一年五月舉辦首個線上職業博覽,提供教育、STEM、非政府組 織、政府及商業等界別的工作機會。 校園發展 繼二零一二年教大將軍澳教學中心正式投入服務後,教育局最近亦 批出一所位於北角的校舍予本校作市區教學中心,舉行在 職教師專業發展和相關教學活動,便利師生。翻新工程 將於二零二一年年底展開,預計於二零二三年完成。 至於大埔校園興建全新教學大樓的籌備工作,亦已 如期開展,以應付日趨殷切的教學需求。 Professor Cheung with international students at the charity movie presentation of local film I Still Remember in April 2021 張教授於二零二一年四月與國際學生觀賞香港電影 《二次人生》 Rendering of the town centre in North Point 北角市區教學中心 外觀構想圖 Life planning for young people 生涯發展 規劃人生 CLAP@JC Project Director (Schools) Dr Stephen Yip Yam-wing (centre); Associate Director (Schools) Miss Annie Ma (right); and Professional Development Programme Leader Dr Leung Ka-wai (left).
