Community Partnership: Narrowing the Gap The Education University of Hong Kong Annual Report 2020-2021 30 生命教育 本校宗教教育與心靈教育中心與華人永遠墳場管理委員會合作，推 動生命教育項目，提升公眾對相關課題的認識。 關愛校園 保障健康 疫情肆虐期間，教大積極落實一系列措施保障師生健康，以履行社 會責任，同心抗疫。措施包括：加強校園防疫工作、提升教室及飯 堂的衞生與通風水平，以及為前線員工提供指定用膳區。本校並參 照政府的抗疫措施，如社交距離要求等，制定校園不同處所和設施 使用指引。 本校亦舉辦與精神健康、壓力管理及疫苗相關的線上講座，以關顧 員工身心靈的需要。為響應全城抗疫，教大推出一次性的特別假期 安排，鼓勵教職員，以及保安及清潔合約員工，接種疫苗。 此外，本校於推行在家工作安排期間，仍盡可能維持日常的校園服 務，包括：提供固定校巴班次、恆常保安、園藝、清潔及工程運 作，以保障前線員工就業。於二零二零年一月起，本校豁免大學膳 食供應商及零售營運商（當中包括三間社會企業）的牌照及管理費， 與他們共渡時艱。 Life education The Centre for Religious and Spirituality Education (CRSE) joined hands with the Board of Management of the Chinese Permanent Cemeteries in a life education campaign to raise public awareness of the subject. Caring campus Safeguarding health As a socially responsible university, EdUHK implemented proactive measures to protect the health of staff and students under the threat of the pandemic. These included strengthened infection control on campus, enhanced cleaning and ventilation of classrooms and canteens, and the establishment of a designated dining area for frontline workers. Protocols were developed regarding the use of campus facilities, with reference to Government social distancing requirements. Online talks onmental health, stressmanagement and vaccinationwere organised to promote staff wellbeing and engagement. As part of its community-wide effort, the University introduced a one-off special leave arrangement to encourage staff to be vaccinated. The same leave arrangement was extended to security and cleaning contractors. To provide job security for frontline workers, the University maintained the provision of campus services, including shuttle bus frequency, security, landscaping, cleaning and renovation works, as far as practicable, during the work-from-home periods. As a relief measure, licence andmanagement fee waivers have been offered since January 2020 to the catering and retail operators, three of which are social enterprises.
