4. Do I need a visa to visit Shanghai, China?
  Most countries require a visa to enter China. Please check with your local Chinese Embassy for specific requirements.
5. How will we get from the airport to the conference hotel/venue?
  Please refer to the attached Guide.
6. How do I book a hotel room?
  Hotel room expenses for three nights (check-in May 22 and check-out May 25) at the conference hotel will be covered. You will be responsible for all other expenses incurred. You will be able to settle the payment with your credit card.

8. Who is attending?
  Participation is by-invitation only, and limited to 60+ scholars, scholar-practitioners, training managers, policymakers, and principals from 21 societies in the region and beyond. Thus far we have received 60+ confirmations from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Australia, Israel, Maldives, Myanmar, Oman, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Turkey, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
9. What are the objectives of the Roundtable?
  The objectives of the Asia Leadership Roundtable 2025 include:
  • To examine emerging issues for leading schools in the Asia Pacific region;
  • To share cutting-edge findings from global research and practice in educational leadership;
  • To provide regional scholars with opportunities for skill development in teaching and research from world-class scholars;
  • To strengthen and expand the existing network of educational leadership scholars in the Asia Pacific region.
  • 10. Do I need to write a paper for the Roundtable?
      We do not require participants to submit formal papers for the Asia Leadership Roundtable 2025.
    11. Will I make a presentation of my paper?
      Participants will not present their papers. The format of the meeting emphasizes interaction, not academic paper presentation.
    12. Will there be visual audio aids for presentation?
      For the Keynote Speeches, computer-generated projectors will be provided.

    During the working session(s) of the Roundtable (May 23-24, 2025), poster papers and markers will be provided. If you want us to print any handouts or posters for you, please send them to us (apclc@eduhk.hk) no later than May 16, 2025.
    13. What will be the weather in Shanghai?

    15. How should we dress for the Roundtable?
     
      The Roundtable is intended to be a relaxed, professional meeting. Dress code for all ALR activities is polite casual. Neither ties nor sports jackets are necessary.
