Registration Procedures
Step 1: Provision of Documents for Registration+

You are required to submit two types of documents:
- Document(s) certifying your personal information (e.g. Mainland ID, HKID, IANG visa, dependant visa/entry permit (as applicable)); and
- Official documents certifying your attainment of the required qualifications. For details, please refer to Provision of Documents Upon Offer Acceptance enclosed in your offer letter.
Please note that the University reserves the right to request you to present the original admissions documents in person at a later stage. All applicants are required to meet the stipulated entrance requirements of the programme. The University reserves the right to revoke/void any offer if applicants fail to meet the entrance requirements or provide the original documentation for verification. For such cases, all paid fees will not be refunded.
Making, submitting or using any false instrument (including forged documents) are serious criminal offences under the Crimes Ordinance (Cap. 200 of the laws of Hong Kong). A person committing the offences relating to forgery or false instruments is liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment. The University shall consider the relevant evidence and report suspicious cases to the Hong Kong Police. The University reserves the right to take appropriate legal actions against persons who make, forge or use a false instrument for admission and any other academic purposes before, during and after the admission process.

After the applicants have submitted the required academic documents to the Registry/ Graduate School, and these documents have been verified to the satisfaction of the University, Global Affairs Office (GAO) will start sending student visa information via email from July.
Should you have further queries or require any assistance regarding the visa application, please login to the Visa Management System for Admissions (VMSA) or contact GAO via email (stuvisa@eduhk.hk).
To complete the registration procedures, you are required to activate your student visa and upload your e-visa, landing slip, and travel documents to the VMSA (https://pappl.eduhk.hk/VMS/admission/) on or before 18 August 2026*. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY LEAD TO THE UNIVERSITY RETRACTING ITS ADMISSION OFFER, OR ALTERNATIVELY, POTENTIAL ORDER FOR SUSPENSION OF YOUR STUDIES. Please note that all fees paid will not be refunded.
*Applicable to applicants who received the student visa from GAO on or before 1 August 2026. Those who received the student visa after 1 August 2026 must upload all visa-related documents to the VMSA as soon as possible, and no later than one week before the programme commencement.

For the programme orientation, course registration and timetabling matters, please contact the relevant programme office and check your EdU student email account regularly. You may also visit the Programme Website for the latest arrangements.

After we have performed programme registration, you will receive a registration notification containing your student number. Please follow the guidelines in the “New Students Information Sheet on IT Services” to gain access to your EdUHK student email account via https://webmail.eduhk.hk as soon as possible. If you experience any technical difficulties, please contact our IT Help Desk via email helpdesk@ocio.eduhk.hk. You have to complete the mandatory Anti-Scam Quiz before proceeding with the photo upload for the Student EdU Card production process. You may not be able to obtain your Student EdU Card if you fail to complete the Quiz. Please visit the following site to complete the Quiz if you have not done yet:
- Stage 1: EdUHK Anti-Scam Quiz (please login with your Application Number as the user name and your registered email address as the password)
Newly admitted non-local students are required to complete the Quiz with a passing rate of 85% before proceeding to upload a photo for student card production. - Stage 2: Hong Kong Police Force Anti-Scam Quiz (please login with your student login account)
All newly admitted students are required to complete the Quiz with a passing rate of 85%. Otherwise, your student card will be withheld, and therefore you will not be able to access the library and other on-campus facilities.

You are required to complete the Anti-Scam Quiz before proceeding to upload a photo to the EdU Card Photo Upload System for production of Student EdU Card. Notifications will be delivered to your registered email and EdUHK email (@s.eduhk.hk) once your EdU card is ready for collection. You can submit your application for credit transfer after you have completed the programme registration. Please be reminded not to offer any advantage to any EdUHK staff, officer, employee, and/or any person involved in the admission process at EdUHK in connection with any application. Otherwise, you may commit serious criminal offences under Prevention of Bribery Ordinance (Cap. 201 of the laws of Hong Kong), which is punishable by imprisonment.
In the event of inconsistency between information in English and Chinese versions or where an interpretation of the programme content is required, the decision of the University shall be final.
